Genting Cable Car Parking
If your plan is to ride Awana SkyWay, Genting Highlands Premium Outlets parking beside Sky Sentral is the most straightforward park-and-ride choice.
Where should you park for Awana SkyWay?
Park at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets (GPO). The operator specifically recommends this park-and-ride arrangement because the car park is beside Sky Sentral, the lower Awana SkyWay station.
Drive to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets → park → walk to Sky Sentral → board Awana SkyWay → arrive at Genting Highlands / SkyAvenue.
Sky Sentral and GPO are connected by two link bridges. Awana SkyWay is on Level 4 of the transport complex, while the bus terminal is on Level 1.

| Public parking | Mon–Fri | Weekend / public holiday / school holiday |
|---|---|---|
| First 2 hours or part thereof | RM5 | RM8 |
| 3rd hour up to maximum daily rate | RM15 | RM21 |
For a normal Genting day trip lasting more than two hours, the practical figure to budget is therefore the maximum public-parking rate: RM15 on Monday–Friday or RM21 on weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

|---|---|---|
| First hour | RM13 | RM14 |

How to get from the car park to the cable car
How do you pay for parking?
The operator describes its car parks as cashless. At Genting Highlands Premium Outlets, Touch 'n Go as well as Visa, Mastercard and MyDebit are listed as accepted parking payment methods. The first 15 minutes are free at the listed car parks.
Should you use public or premium parking?
For most cable-car visitors, public parking is sufficient and materially cheaper. Premium parking may be worth considering if its location or convenience matters more to you than the price difference, but it does not change the Awana SkyWay ticket or cable-car journey itself.
Can you park at the top instead?
Yes. Resorts World Genting has parking at several peak locations, including SkyAvenue and hotel areas. But if the cable-car ride is part of your visit, driving all the way to the peak defeats the normal park-and-ride route. Parking at GPO lets you use Awana SkyWay for the mountain ascent and descent.
What if you are staying overnight?
The published GPO rates include a maximum daily rate rather than a special cable-car visitor rate. If your vehicle will remain parked across a long or overnight stay, check the current parking terms for how charges apply across your intended parking period before leaving the car.
Remember where your return cable car ends
If your car is at GPO, you need to return to Sky Sentral. Genting also has the separate Genting SkyWay route, whose lower station is Gohtong Sentral. Using the wrong cable-car route down can leave you at a different lower terminal from your parked car.
Parking vs bus: which is easier?
Driving gives you control over your departure time but adds parking cost and mountain-road driving. The express bus from KL Sentral goes directly to the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets/Sky Sentral terminal, allowing you to transfer to Awana SkyWay without parking. Which is easier depends on your group size and transport plans.
