How to Get to Ngong Ping 360

Best option: MTR to Tung Chung

Take Hong Kong's MTR to Tung Chung Station on the Tung Chung Line. The Ngong Ping 360 Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal is adjacent to the MTR station, making this the simplest public-transport option for most tourists.

From central Hong Kong or Kowloon

Connect to the Tung Chung Line and travel west to its Tung Chung terminus. From there, follow signs for Ngong Ping 360 and the cable car terminal.

From Hong Kong International Airport

Tung Chung is close to Hong Kong International Airport on Lantau Island. Taxi and bus connections can be practical depending on your luggage and schedule. Ngong Ping 360 also provides route information for airport arrivals.

By taxi

Ask for the Ngong Ping 360 Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal. This is especially useful if you are travelling with luggage or as a group.

By car

Drivers approach Tung Chung via the Lantau road network and Tat Tung Road. The operator states that 24-hour parking is available near the Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal.

Do not travel directly to Ngong Ping if you want the full cable car ride

The usual tourist journey starts at Tung Chung and rides the cable car up to Ngong Ping. Going directly to Ngong Ping by road means you miss the outbound cable car experience.

After arriving at Tung Chung

Head to the cable car terminal, prepare your ticket or booking voucher, and join the appropriate ticket or boarding queue. The ride to Ngong Ping takes around 25 minutes.
